Stimulating College and Career Readiness
Aligning community programs, services and resources to better prepare our greater North San Diego County service region’s students for college, career and life.
Among our goals are:
Assuring every student graduates from high school college- and career-ready; and
Assuring wvery high-school graduate enters a post-secondary program and pursues a college degree or industry-recognized credential or certificate.
The North San Diego County Promise’s College and Career Readiness Collective Action Network is comprised of individuals and organizations committed to helping all children and young adults reach their fullest potential in grade school, college, career and life. The North San Diego County Promise’s Latinx Youth Success Pilot (our Barrio Empowerment Initiative) was one of the Collective Action Network’s most successful initiatives and was aligned with the following overarching priorities:
Promoting a community-wide post-secondary-going culture for all students;
Providing rigorous, relevant and real-world learning experiences;
Facilitating post-secondary planning and entry supports; and
Aligning and pursuing funding sources to support collaboration and persisting student success.
