Our Mission: Bringing the greater North San Diego County community together to ensure children, youth and adults reach their fullest potential in grade school, college, career and life.
The North San Diego County Promise is an IRS-recognized, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Federal Tax Identification Number 47-2158619), operating as a San-Diego-County-inclusive collective-impact partnership that is united by a shared vision of all youth and adults reaching their fullest potential in college, career and life. The North San Diego County Promise brings together Partners representing education, business, non-profit, government and faith-based communities, to strategically and efficiently align programs, services and resources to improve the social, emotional, academic and life success of children, youth and adults.
Our intentionally collaborative, equity-focused and data-informed work is concentrated on inclusionary systems change and ensuring our marginalized communities have equitable access to educational, economic and life opportunities. Through the North San Diego County Promise Rugg Family Scholarship Program, post-secondary-level financial support is provided each year to eligible scholars graduating from high school.
From promoting Safety, Health and Well-being, improving the kindergarten readiness of young children, fostering Early Childhood Success, stimulating College and Career Readiness, increasing Post-secondary Success and Completion, championing Racial Justice, Equity and Inclusion and advancing Workforce Development, the North San Diego County Promise is committed to building a vibrant, prosperous and promising future for every member of the many diverse and interconnected communities we serve throughout the greater North San Diego County region and beyond.

The North San Diego County Promise collaborates with its partners to ensure every high school student graduates prepared to succeed in college, career and life. Our data-informed, equity-focused Latinx Youth Success Pilot Barrio Empowerment Initiative was one of the multi-year collective-impact student success programs we developed and managed.
